I’ll never forget the excited, happy and joyful lady who came up to me at a bridal show and said, “I got to have you do my wedding.” Ashley was very happy that I was in fact available for her wedding… I was too. It was a beautiful wedding and Ashley and Steven are just a wonderful and fun couple. Their wedding was set on the beautiful Emory & Henry Campus inside the Emory & Henry Chapel. GORGEOUS! Steven did some film school work once upon a time and he REALLY loved it when I brought out my new/old Canon 310xl Super 8mm film camera. It was my first time shooting film, so hopefully the 2 rolls I shot turns out and I have something cool and new to show everyone soon! Stay tuned!

One other reason my rankings has suffered is when I changed my website, I failed to update all the meta tags and such. Also, I found out that a sitemap helps alot now days too. So, I have updated my keywords such as tennessee, wedding, video, high definition, trailers, professional, blu-ray, movie posters, movies, jc/dv productions, cinematic, and more for all of my pages accordingly.
I also changed the first text on each page at the very top that used to suggest appropriate screen resolution. The reason for this is that is the first text that shows up to seach engines such as “Artistic and professional Tennessee wedding videographers providing high quality wedding video serivces” can be found on my front home page at www.jcdv.com. The page descriptions also say something similar. This is how the site shows up to search engines now:
It doesn’t matter how good your site looks to the eye, it matters how it looks to a search engine such as google.
I’m posting all this so that if you find your site falling in the searches–you can see what I did and hopefully make some changes to get better rankings. Oh, another reason I did this is because google loves my blog more than my site www.jcdv.com.
Another thing I did is create pages related to the areas we provide wedding videography services. Hopefully these will get index as well and show up in searches broader than just where we are located.
So thanks google for dropping my site in the search rankings because it helped me look deeper into my JC/DV Productions – Artistic Professional Cinematic Wedding Video site and create better meta tags and arrange my content so that brides and grooms can search for wedding video and find my site much easier now.
