I'm just happy there is a standard finally. I have been successful in creating BluRay Content onto standard redlaser DVD-R Single Layer, but only about 30 minutes of h.264 can fit. I did this with Nero and I know it can be difficult in some computers producing it. I'm still waiting on an actual burner to come that burns quicker and less expensive. MY clients aren't screaming for their HD delivery yet (the ones that purchased the upgrade in prior years) so I'm waiting for burners... Also waiting on Taiyo Yuden to make watershield Blu-Ray media because the watershield is my standard media for DVDs as they just look very impressive and are really reliable. As I understand it, there are still a lot of changes Sony has to make to their burners to really make them worth while. In some ways HD DVD was ahead of Blue Ray, but for some reason they lost the PR war. Sony has been upgrading their burners and players at a snails pace. I'm still waiting, because I don't want to put out the cash to buy a current burner and then have them put out another great upgrade three months later making my burner obsolete. The dust hasn't settled yet, and we don't know what else may happen. Hopefully it will all be resolved soon enough.
